Seth here, for the Thankful list.
Well of course my # 1 is my precious bride, the center and the rock of our family. She is the kindest, sweetest, silliest and prettiest girl in the world. I am so glad we are married for time and eternity, because our time on this earth isn't enough. Love you Dani.

Next comes my main man Jackson. He lights up my life, everyday when I come home from work and open the front door I hear "DADDY" and see this handsome little man running to give me a hug. I look forward to that moment everyday. I love you Jack-Jack.

I am thankful for my job. With the economy like it is I am glad to know that I have a secure job that I love. I especially love working with my Father and Brother, two men I admire and look up to a lot.

Seth Out!

... Can I add Golf as my #4?... I would say it's my #1, but I'm pretty sure Dani reads our blog.

Also, My Mum's Grateful List From yesterday made me giggle:

To explain to those of you who are confused by this: My mom sings with a group of talented ladies, and some of their venues are Retirement Communities. Thanks for passing this love of music on to your children, Mom.

I'm Thankful For...

1. Opportunities to serve others.
2. Public Libraries. I learned to use and love libraries with my mom growing up. I remember coming home with bags full of books every week. I wasn't as big of a reader then, but now I LOVE a good book. And I know I learned that from my mom.
3. Val! I forgot to mention that she made Jackson's cute cape, that he wore for Halloween. What a great Aunt. The other side is black with the Batman symbol. He'll say "I superman mom." Then later he'll turn the cape around and "I batman mom."

Jackson and some friends at a birthday party on Halloween. Superman has a part time job as a landscaper.

Trick or Treating with friends. Were so blessed to have these guys. Seth not pictured, he was hiding in the bushes, waiting to scare an innocent passer-by.

I love this boy.

I'm Thankful for
1. Music, all types.
2. Books, all types.
3. Seth's eyes.

"Hey buddy, you wanna piece of this?"

"Yes, I have been hittin up the gym lately."

ooooooooooo, Scary Grandma

Peyton, Presley and Jack swarming a trunk for loot at a ward Trunk or Treat, Friday night.

We stopped by Grandpa's house to trick or treat him. SuperJack is never afraid with Grandpa around!

TRICK or TREAT
smell my feet ...

Mom and Dad are so proud of our little SuperJack. His pumpkin was so full, and he was pooped. It was really fun to see Halloween through his eyes. We love this!

Its like taking candy from a baby... and a little cash too. Bill (Seth's Dad) didn't have any candy, so he gave Jackson a little cash. We'll put it in his college fund, Bill!

For the Month of November, my sisters and I will be posting Three things were thankful for, every day, or mostly every day. So ..
1. I'm Thankful for Seth's ability to make any situation a silly one.
2. I'm Thankful for Jackson and his amazing spirit and zest for life.
3. I'm Thankful for modern communication, so I can call my mom across the nation.

Coronado

Seth won a weekend trip, through work, to the Hotel del Coronado, a beachfront luxury hotel in Coronado, across the bay from San Diego, California. We left Jackson in the capable arms of loved ones, and hopped on a plane. I may or may not have sobbed as we drove away from Jackson. I knew he would be well taken care of and loved while I was away, but it was hard to leave him none-the-less. But once we landed in beautiful California and I smelled that salty air, I found it easy to relax.
We had delightful dinners every night. Fillet Mignon, Lobster Tails, Halibut, a variety of Shrimp, the hilariously yummy Pupu platter (Seth just couldn't resist), and the best Clam Chowder I've ever tasted. We took our time ordering, chatting and laughing, eating slowly savoring every bite. Eating out at nice restaurants together is definitely a treat.
One evening, Seth ordered Red Velvet Cake, the menu said it would "Feed 2." But when it came it was apparent it would feed a large family. It was a huge cake. I said "Oh honey, Happy Birthday!" and before we knew it, the room was singing "Happy Birthday to you..." Seth and I laughed until we cried.
We walked the beach, window shopped, pedicured, whipped strangers with seaweed and rode bikes around Coronado Island. The bike ride was beautiful and relaxing. Seth jumped and skidded his cruiser, barely missing unsuspecting vacationers, which was hysterical.

The Hotel itself, built in 1888, was magical. Our room was on the 5th floor of one of the towers (for lack of a better word) We heard lots of rumors about it being haunted...
"In 1892, a young woman, Kate Morgan, checked into the Hotel Del Coronado to meet her estranged husband for Thanksgiving. He never arrived to meet her, and a few days later, she was found dead on the hotel steps near the ocean. Since then, guests and staff of the Hotel Del Coronado have noticed strange breezes, ghostly noises and the pale figure of a young lady walking in a black lace dress."
...And one day, we did hear strange noises coming from above us. I think Seth cried himself to sleep that night. On a serious note, Seth did have an encounter, but you'll have to ask him to tell you about it.

The old "cage" elevator is hand-operated, usually by Kim, who called us "Ma'amSir"

Our room was on the top floor of that tower. So we really shouldn't have heard noises above us...

Seth being silly, as per usual :)

We left our cruisers under the watchful eye of this Palm tree. (He needs to see the optometrist)

A perfect weekend with my husband, my best friend.
